The Fairfield County Workforce Center, established in 2020, provides training programs for high-demand industries. The programs are offered through a collaborative partnership between the Fairfield County Commissioners, Ohio University Lancaster Campus and the Russ College of Engineering, and Hocking College. These programs have been transformed into Pre-Apprenticeships to serve actively enrolled high school seniors in their final semester and meet new state graduation requirements, while simultaneously providing certification-based training in skilled, in-demand occupations (carpentry, electrical, HVAC, and water/wastewater). Discovery Days are for students to attend and learn about the different career training programs available.
Discovery Days Information
Fairfield County Workforce Center Discovery Days run from 9:00am - 2:00pm.
- Must be a high school senior in the Fall of 2026 to attend Discovery Days.
- Students must live in and attend school in Fairfield County.
- Interest forms must be submitted to your school counselor.
