Start Your Career as a Water / Wastewater Operator!

Water and Wastewater treatment plant and system operators manage equipment, control panels, and treatment processes to clean drinking water or treat sewage so it can be safely returned to the environment or reused. They remove pollutants from domestic and industrial waste. Individuals in this field typically work in local governments, such as municipal water, public works, and sewer departments.

Students participating in this program will learn the basics in the biological and chemical processes behind water treatment and analysis. Students will earn valuable training that will help in obtaining a great career in addition to a nationally recognized license as a Water and/or Wastewater Treatment Operator 1. Instructors will assist in preparing students to sit for both national exams.

Students in this program will also have access to training through Tecca LLC. The managing partner of Tecca LLC. has 35 years of experience in training through OTCO (Operators Training Committee of Ohio, Inc.) where he previously served as Executive Director for 28 years. This program utilizes Water Professional International (formerly Association of Boards of Certification), and Ohio EPA approved Need-to-Know criteria and textbooks.

This course is designed for those looking to pivot, upskill, or re-enter the workforce. Our Water / Wastewater pre-apprenticeship program can bridge the gap between where you are today and a lucrative lifelong career. This is a 16-week course.

Classes are Monday – Friday from 9 am – 2 pm.
