Students will be introduced to the carpentry trade, wood building materials and lumber terms, fasteners, adhesives, and hand and power tools.
This course requires students to apply their understanding of and engage in safety practices essential to the construction trades. Students will also learn basic planning and estimating skills for trade-based projects.
Students earn an OSHA 30 certification as well as up to 6 college credits when finished in this pre-apprenticeship.
